Adele Carr Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly reputable organisation to recruit a Finance Systems Project Support Officer to join its Finance Systems team on a fixed-term basis until June 2028.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in finance, administration, systems support or project coordination who is looking to broaden their experience and develop their skills within a finance systems environment.

Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you will play an important role in supporting finance system enhancements, implementations and process improvement initiatives. From assisting with system testing and financial data validation to maintaining project documentation and supporting end users, you will help ensure finance systems remain accurate, efficient and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project, systems and administrative support across finance system implementations, enhancements and improvement initiatives.
• Assist with gathering business requirements and documenting system changes, business processes and user needs.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), system reconciliations and the validation of financial data.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including action logs, risk registers, testing records and implementation plans.
• Assist with the preparation, development and maintenance of finance reports and management information.
• Liaise with stakeholders across the business to understand system issues, resolve queries and identify training requirements.
• Support compliance with financial policies, internal controls, procedures and audit requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across Finance Systems and the wider finance function.

About You

We are looking for an organised, proactive and analytical individual who enjoys working with data, systems and processes and is keen to develop their career.
You will ideally have:

• AAT Level 3 or an equivalent qualification, or be working towards a finance or business-related qualification.
• GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent.
• Experience in a finance, administrative, systems support or project support role.
• Experience maintaining accurate records, reports, spreadsheets or project documentation.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Teams.
• A customer-focused approach and a willingness to learn new systems, processes and ways of working.

Experience of financial reconciliations, data analysis, investigating discrepancies, system testing, reporting or process improvement would be advantageous.

You will also need to be able to travel between the organisation's Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington offices, including HMS Stonebridge, as required by business needs.
