Reed Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced DT Technician to support a busy secondary school on a full-time temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role within the Design & Technology department, ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely while helping students maximise their learning experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare materials, tools, equipment, and resources for DT and Food Technology lessons
Maintain workshops, classrooms, and equipment to a high standard
Support teaching staff with practical demonstrations and lesson preparation
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering materials and supplies
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed within workshop and food preparation areas
Maintain accurate records and support departmental administration where required
Essential RequirementsPrevious experience working as a DT Technician or in a similar technical support role
Data Training/Certification
Food Hygiene Certificate
Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures within practical learning environments
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
