Our client, a prestigious global law firm with a highly regarded London presence, is seeking an accomplished Operations Manager to play a pivotal leadership role in supporting the day-to-day running of its London office. Initially on a 12 month FTC, with potential to be made permanent, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a high-performing professional services environment where operational excellence is central to business success.

The Opportunity

Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee and coordinate operational activities across multiple business functions, ensuring the smooth delivery of services that support lawyers, partners and business services teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with senior management to oversee daily office operations across Facilities, HR, IT, Finance and Legal Support functions.
• Drive operational improvement projects and enhance service delivery across departments.
• Lead and support administrative teams, maintaining exceptional internal service standards.
• Monitor budgets, performance metrics, supplier relationships and vendor contracts.
• Support office space planning, workplace management and facilities operations.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and the implementation of firmwide policies, including adherence to legal sector requirements.
• Coordinate complex onboarding programmes for new partners and senior hires.
• Champion the adoption of technology and operational best practices to improve efficiency and workflow.

About You

• Minimum 7 years' operational or administrative management experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of legal sector compliance requirements.
• Proven project management and operational improvement experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Hands-on, solutions-focused approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong client service mindset and experience working with senior professionals and partners.
