Please note: Candidates must be available to start immediately. What Will the Role Involve? Every day will bring opportunities to help pupils learn, participate and succeed. Your responsibilities will include: * Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and everyday classroom activities. * Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on the school’s requirements. * Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and address gaps in understanding. * Helping children develop their literacy and numeracy skills, including reading, phonics and maths. * Encouraging positive behaviour, good learning habits and active participation. * Providing additional support to pupils who may have SEND or require a different approach to learning. * Preparing materials, organising classroom resources and helping lessons run smoothly. * Creating a welcoming atmosphere where children feel supported, included and encouraged to do their best. You may be a suitable fit if you have: * Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare environment. * Experience in tutoring, mentoring, youth work or similar roles. * Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate with children and colleagues. * A patient, approachable nature and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. * The initiative to support pupils and work collaboratively with the class teacher. * An interest in child development, education and helping young people achieve their potential. * An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for the required check.
