Credit Controller

• Location: Sutton, Hybrid (Office Mon-Wed, Home Thurs-Fri)
• Duration: Initial 2-Week Temporary Assignment
• Start Date: Immediate
• Hours: 09.00- 17.00 (35 hours)
• Hourly Rate: £16.48 per hour PAYE or £20.92 per hour via an umbrella company

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a small finance team in Sutton on an immediate basis for an initial two-week assignment. This role is crucial for managing the sales ledger, chasing outstanding debt, and updating accounts during a period of team absence due to sickness.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Chasing outstanding customer debt via telephone and email.
• Managing and reviewing aged debtor reports.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
• Resolving invoice and payment queries.
• Ensuring accurate records of collection activity are maintained.
• Allocating customer payments where required.
• Liaising with internal teams to resolve account discrepancies.
• Assisting with bringing the sales ledger up to date.
• Supporting the finance team with ad hoc credit control duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Credit Control role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Confidence in speaking with customers over the phone.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
• Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Available to start immediately.
