HGV Class 1 Night Driver – Lichfield – £19.00 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Lichfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £19.00 per hour, Monday-to-Friday night shifts, ongoing work, immediate starts and opportunities for growth and progression.

£19.00 Per Hour | Monday to Friday Nights | 19:00–22:00 Starts | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Immediate Starts

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or HGV Trunking Driver.

Shifts

• Five nights per week, Monday to Friday
• Start times between 19:00 and 22:00
• Ongoing night work available

• £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, your duties will include:

• Completing night trunking work for Boots
• Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently between delivery locations
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are correctly secured
• Adhering to road traffic laws and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance requirements
• Assisting with loading and unloading goods where required
• Maintaining high standards of customer service

Essential Skills

• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Minimum of 12 months' Category CE driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major driving endorsements
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Good understanding of road traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience with night trunking operations
• Experience delivering to distribution centres

Training Provided

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
