Senior Buyer Job Description
Proactively identify, assess and vet new suppliers, lead supplier onboarding.
Negotiate competitive pricing and terms, and build strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and reliable delivery.
Review and validate Master Planning outputs, planned purchase orders and material requirements to ensure accurate and timely purchasing decisions.
Review and optimise coverage groups, lead times, safety stock and replenishment settings to improve material availability and inventory control.
Manage purchase orders, expedite critical materials and proactively resolve supply issues to support production schedules and minimise disruption.
