Reed Education are seeking resilient and empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistants to work with pupils who require additional support with their social, emotional and mental health needs.

This rewarding role involves supporting children to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and develop positive relationships within school.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support engagement in classroom activities and learning.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external agencies.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and restorative approaches.
• Calm, patient and resilient nature.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
