We are working with an established, growing main contractor who is looking to appoint a hands on Site Manager to join their team. This opportunity would suit someone who has progressed from a trades or Working Foreman background and enjoys being closely involved in the day to day running of projects. The business delivers a varied portfolio of construction, refurbishment and commercial projects, typically ranging up to £3m to £5m. Unlike larger contractors, this is a business where Site Managers are expected to take ownership, use their initiative and get involved rather than rely on multiple layers of management and support. The Role: * Overseeing projects from start through to completion * Taking a hands-on approach to day-to-day site operations * Managing subcontractors, trades and site activities * Coordinating materials, labour and programmes * Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality * Problem solving and making decisions independently * Working closely with the directors to ensure successful project delivery What We're Looking For: * Ideally a trades or Working Foreman background with progression into Site Management * Experience delivering projects up to £3m to £5m * Comfortable working within a smaller contractor environment * Someone proactive, practical and happy to get stuck in * Able to work independently without extensive management support * Strong subcontractor management and organisational skills * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid preferred What's on Offer: An opportunity to join an established contractor with a growing workload and a varied project portfolio.
