Freelance Quantity Surveyor – HS2 We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a major package delivery on HS2 This is a predominantly site-based role suited to a commercially strong QS with solid NEC experience and a background in civil engineering/infrastructure, possibly having worked on HS2 previously. The role will focus on: * Change management and cost capture * Issuing contractual notices * Identifying and protecting commercial entitlement * Recording and notifying programme impacts * Managing commercial risk and project costs * Working closely with site and project teams The ideal candidate will have: * Strong civils/infrastructure QS experience * Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts, ideally NEC4 * Experience with Defined Cost / Option E * Strong understanding of change and contractual notifications * A proactive, commercially astute approach The project has significant commercial activity, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to make a real impact.
