Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: Derby, East Midlands Salary/Benefits: £26k - £36k DOE + Training & Benefits We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable Water Hygiene Company with a busy presence in the Midlands. They are seeking a knowledgeable Water Hygiene Engineer who can hit the ground running. You will be responsible for undertaking water sampling, tank cleans and disinfections, sampling from closed systems and calorifier blowdowns, in addition to other pre-planned compliance tasks. The ideal candidate will be confident in working independently, to set personal deadlines. Experience / Qualifications: - Proven experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer - Strong understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines - Able to use IT software - Good literacy and numeracy skills - Able to work independently on site - Worked on a range of client sites, including: commercial, public sector and local authority The Role: - Attending a range of client sites to perform a pre-planned water hygiene compliance tasks - Temperature monitoring - Closed system sampling - Expansion vessel purges - Water sampling - CWST cleans and disinfections - Showerhead descales - Outlet acid descales - Calorifier blowdowns - Updating site logbooks Alternative job titles: Water Treatment Engineer, Water Management Engineer, Legionella Operative, Water Hygiene Technician, Environmental Service Technician, Water Service Engineer.
