Grafton Banks Finance is exclusively supporting a well-established, multi-site service business in the recruitment of a new Finance Director. Operating across the UK and internationally, the business has an established market presence, a diverse stakeholder base and ambitious plans for continued growth.

Reporting to the CEO and forming part of the Board and Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the finance function. This is a broad leadership role combining strategic finance, commercial partnering, governance and team leadership. You will play a key role in supporting business performance, evaluating growth opportunities and ensuring robust financial control across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial strategy and support long-term business planning.
• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team on commercial and strategic decisions.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Monitor business performance, profitability and cash flow.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Develop financial models, business cases and performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain effective controls, governance and risk management frameworks.
• Manage external relationships including auditors, banks and advisers.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team.
• Drive improvements across finance systems, reporting and processes.

Essential requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong commercial and strategic capabilities.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders.
• Multi-site and SME business experience would be desirable.

This role is based at our clients Worthing offices with 1 day per week working from home. Salary is up to £95,000 + 10% bonus and benefits package.
