Location: Darlington, County Durham Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering team in Darlington. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong electrical engineer with experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors to take a leading role in delivering complex engineering projects. You'll be responsible for overseeing electrical design activities, supporting multidisciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality technical solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical engineers and designers across engineering projects. Produce, review and approve electrical engineering designs, specifications and technical documentation. Develop electrical distribution systems and control schemes. Review vendor documentation and provide technical guidance to clients and project teams. Support engineering proposals, estimates and project planning. Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards and engineering procedures. What We're Looking For Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. Extensive electrical engineering experience within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical environments. Experience across project lifecycles, including FEED, EPC and commissioning. Proficiency with electrical design software such as PTW, Trimble (Amtech), DIALux or StrikeRisk. Strong knowledge of relevant European and North American electrical standards. Experience coordinating engineering teams and working with multidisciplinary stakeholders. Desirable: Chartered Engineer status, SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) experience, or experience with cryogenic storage and handling facilities. Interested?
