IT Service & Projects Manager

Forest of Dean | £55,000 to £60,000 | Permanent | Full Time

Are you an experienced IT Manager who enjoys leading people, improving services and delivering projects that make a real difference to a business?

We are recruiting an IT Service & Projects Manager for an established business based in the Forest of Dean. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, developing a team and working closely with senior management to improve IT services and deliver new technology projects.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for the performance of the IT function, managing internal resources, external suppliers and the successful delivery of IT projects.

What will you be doing?

• Leading, supporting and developing the IT team.
• Managing IT service delivery, performance and continuous improvement.
• Overseeing IT projects, system upgrades and new implementations.
• Working with outsourced developers and external technology suppliers.
• Managing priorities, budgets, resources and project timescales.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure IT supports wider business objectives.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience managing an IT team and delivering IT services.
• Strong project management experience, including system implementations.
• Experience managing external suppliers and development partners.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Practical, hands-on approach to leadership, with the confidence to make decisions and take responsibility.

This is a management and project delivery position rather than a technical support role. You will need a good understanding of IT systems and services, but your focus will be on leading the team and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.

Location and working arrangements

The position is office based during probation, with the potential for hybrid working thereafter. Due to the rural location of the offices, you must hold a driving licence and have access to your own transport.

Please note that no relocation package is available, so we are particularly interested in candidates already living within a reasonable commuting distance of the Forest of Dean.
