Bookkeeper

Up to £30k per annum | Permanent | Office Based

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a growing business. This is a newly created position, reflecting the company's continued expansion and commitment to strengthening its finance function.

The business offers a friendly, close-knit culture and is seeking a hands-on finance professional who can take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities while working closely with the SLT and external accountants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of the finance function. Key duties will include:

• Credit control and management of customer payments
• Bank, cash and account reconciliations
• Preparing VAT records and ensuring accounts are ready for submission
• Producing profit and loss reports for review by management
• Monitoring and recording staff hours
• Preparing payroll information for processing
• Liaising with the company's external accountants, who visit twice per month
• Supporting new starter onboarding administration where required
• Maintaining accurate financial data using SAP Business One

The business is looking for a proactive and reliable Bookkeeper who enjoys working within a collaborative team environment.

Suitable applicants will have:

• Previous bookkeeping experience
• Strong reconciliation and transactional accounting skills
• Experience preparing VAT information
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• A positive, team-focused approach
• Confidence communicating with colleagues, management and external advisors

Experience with SAP Business One would be advantageous; however, training can be provided for the right individual. The company is open to considering Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates and welcomes applications from a range of industry backgrounds.
