HR Advisor (Organisational Change & Employee Relations)

• Location: Northampton (mostly on-site)
• Duration: November 2026 to Jan 2027
• Hourly rate: £19.84 + £2.39 holiday pay (PAYE) or £25.19 via umbrella co.

We are supporting a Higher Education organisation undergoing a significant organisational change programme and are seeking experienced HR Advisors to provide additional support during a period of large-scale workforce consultation activity.

This is an excellent opportunity for HR professionals with strong employee relations experience who enjoy working in complex environments and supporting managers through organisational change.

Key Responsibilities

• Support managers during individual consultation meetings.
• Advise on organisational change, redundancy and employee relations matters.
• Take accurate meeting notes and maintain comprehensive records.
• Respond to employee queries and follow up on agreed actions.
• Support the administration and coordination of consultation activities.
• Apply HR policies consistently and professionally.
• Deliver a high standard of employee support throughout the consultation process.

About You

• Previous HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner experience.
• Strong employee relations knowledge.
• Experience supporting restructures, redundancies or organisational change programmes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
