A senior, influential role with a structured path to partnership. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Winchester is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified Business Services Senior Manager.

Winchester sits in one of the most prosperous parts of the South of England, with strong links to Southampton, London and the wider South Coast, and the firm’s business services practice reflects the quality of that local market. You’d oversee delivery across a varied client portfolio, work with partners on strategy and business development, and lead the managers beneath you. What’s the day to day of the role:

• Leading accounts and business advisory delivery across a complex client portfolio
• Reviewing work prepared by managers and junior staff
• Acting as trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders
• Driving proposals, networking and growth of the client base
• Mentoring and developing managers and junior members of the team
• Helping shape the strategic direction of the practice with senior leadership

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with an exceptional business services background from practice
• At least seven years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• Track record at manager or senior manager level across client and team management
• Deep technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, corporation tax and financial reporting
• The credibility to engage at board and partner level
• Commercially driven, with a proactive approach to business development
