Assistant Management Accountant – London/Hybrid – £45,000 p.a.

Are you a Management Accountant looking for a role where you can take ownership of the numbers, work closely with senior stakeholders and gain exposure to an international group?

We’re supporting a successful business based in London that is looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant into its finance team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the management accounting and financial reporting of the business's German and Polish entities, working closely with Group Finance and senior stakeholders.

You’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and variance analysis. You’ll also prepare monthly reporting and commentary for senior management and Group Finance, providing insight into financial performance and helping to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

The role will also involve managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations, supporting VAT and statutory requirements, and working with external auditors through the year-end process. There will be opportunities to get involved in budgeting and forecasting, as well as supporting improvements to financial reporting and processes.

This would suit a proactive and commercially minded Assistant Management Accountant who enjoys taking ownership and working across a wider business. You’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple deadlines, communicating with stakeholders at different levels and working independently while remaining aligned with group controls and standards.

Previous experience within a management accounting or financial control role is important, ideally with exposure to international entities. Experience managing foreign entity accounts from a UK-based role would be particularly useful, alongside strong Excel and ERP experience. Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is desirable.

The business offers a collaborative environment where you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with Group Finance and stakeholders across the organisation, while developing your experience across international management accounting and financial reporting.

The role is London-based and requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

If this is you, please apply ASAP as the recruitment process is likely to move swiftly.
