Your responsibilities will include: ·Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs. ·Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment. ·Repairing suspension, steering, braking systems, wheel bearings, driveshafts and exhaust systems. ·Carrying out air conditioning servicing and other workshop repairs. ·Identifying faults accurately and completing repairs right first time wherever possible. ·Carrying out inspections and reporting any additional work required. ·Fitting approved accessories and vehicle equipment where required. ·Completing service records and paperwork to the required standards. ·Using digital vehicle reporting systems following appropriate training. ·Working collaboratively with the workshop team to maintain productivity and customer satisfaction. ·Developing your skills through ongoing technical and manufacturer training, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems where applicable.   ABOUT YOU To be considered for this Vehicle Technician position, you should have: ·Experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Technician, Van Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, HGV Technician or Automotive Technician. ·NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or be working towards the qualification. ·Good mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills. ·A full UK driving licence. ·A commitment to quality workmanship and completing repairs to a high standard. ·The ability to work independently and as part of a busy workshop team. A current MOT Tester licence would be advantageous but is not essential. Previous commercial vehicle or main dealership experience is welcome, but applications are also encouraged from technicians working in independent garages, fast-fit centres and car supermarkets.
