About the role
We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join a property maintenance team, carrying out repairs in residents’ homes and communal areas. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking long-term employment, with an initial 12-week temporary period and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Key responsibilities
Carry out carpentry repairs, including doors, door frames, locks, handles and general woodwork.
Complete general property maintenance and minor repairs.
Assist with other trades, including basic plumbing, tiling and making good where competent.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
Provide professional customer service and keep residents updated.
Record completed jobs, materials and timesheets using a smartphone or tablet.
Maintain tools, equipment and van stock.
Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as required.
Requirements
Proven carpentry and property maintenance experience.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent time-served experience.
Multi-trade skills are desirable.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to undertake a Basic DBS check.
