About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Multi-Academy Trust in Nottingham, which is looking for an organised and reliable temporary HR Administrator to join its central HR team. Reporting to the HR Advisor, you will provide day-to-day administrative support across the employee lifecycle, helping to make sure the Trust’s schools are staffed safely, compliantly and efficiently.

This is a varied role that suits someone who enjoys accuracy and detail, takes pride in good service and is comfortable handling confidential information.

Key responsibilities

  • Processing contractual changes, including changes to hours, roles and terms, and preparing the associated documentation
  • Administering flexible working requests and keeping accurate records
  • Supporting safer recruitment processes, including processing DBS checks and carrying out pre-employment checks in line with statutory guidance
  • Managing onboarding administration for new starters, from offer through to induction, and keeping the Single Central Record up to date
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and systems, with a high standard of data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative support across the HR team as required

About you

  • Previous experience in an HR, recruitment, school or other administrative role (HR experience is desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confident communicator, able to deal with colleagues, candidates and school staff professionally and helpfully
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience of an HR or MIS system is an advantage
  • Able to work with sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of safer recruitment or DBS processes is desirable, though full training will be provided
  • Available to start at short notice, ideally from 2 November, and flexible in approach with a willingness to support the wider team

Safeguarding
