Reed Further Education are recruiting for a Teacher of Mechanical Engineering to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to Level 3 learners.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Engineering professional with teaching or training experience to support learners in developing the knowledge and skills required for progression within the engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Mechanical Engineering lessons to Level 3 learners.
• Teach engineering-related mathematics.
• Plan and prepare engaging learning materials and sessions.
• Assess student progress through practical and written assessments.
• Mark assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate learner records and achievement tracking.
• Support students to achieve their learning objectives.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Comply with safeguarding and quality assurance requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Assessor Qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent).
• Experience within the Mechanical Engineering industry.
• Ability to teach engineering maths.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

• PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching or training within Further Education, apprenticeships or workplace learning.
