Trust & Estate Manager / Senior Manager

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office / 2 days remote)

Are you an experienced Trust & Estate specialist seeking high-visibility work, genuine career progression, and strong technical breadth?

We are partnering with a highly regarded firm boasting one of the largest and most respected Trust & Estate practices in the South East. Following sustained business growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Manager or Senior Manager to lead client relationships, deliver complex advisory, and mentor a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Advisory & Planning: Deliver high-level estate and tax planning advice across IHT, CGT, APR, and BPR, as well as complex trust formations, restructurings, and reorganisations.
• Compliance & Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse client portfolio, ensuring seamless delivery of annual trust accounts and tax returns.
• Team Leadership: Manage, develop, and mentor junior team members, fostering technical growth and managing day-to-day workflow.
• Strategic & Commercial Oversight: Handle portfolio billing and financial management, while proactively identifying strategic advisory opportunities for clients.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal tax, legal, and private client specialists, as well as external solicitors and professional partners.

About You

• Experience: Strong technical background in Trusts & Estates within accountancy, legal, or specialist trust firm environments.
• Technical Depth: In-depth knowledge of trust legislation, IHT, CGT, APR, and BPR.
• Leadership: Proven ability to supervise, mentor, or manage junior staff.
• Qualifications: STEP qualified (or looking to complete STEP); CTA, ATT, or legal qualifications are highly desirable.
• Client Skills: Strong communication skills with a track record of managing complex client relationships and heavy workloads effectively.
