Acoustic Consultant

Reading | £40,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

I am working with a specialist engineering business looking to grow its acoustic consultancy offering. They are seeking an experienced acoustic consultant who can bring technical expertise, commercial awareness and the ambition to help shape and lead this area of the business.

This is more than a consultancy role. You will have the opportunity to expand your project portfolio, develop client relationships, generate new business and play a key role in the continued growth of the acoustic consultancy arm.

Salary & Benefits:

• £40,000 - £55,000 salary, dependent on experience and what you can bring
• Company car of your choice, fully expensed
• Remote working available, with equipment provided
• Flexibility to work across the South and South East, with attendance at the Reading office at least once a week

Duties of an Acoustic Consultant include:

• Carrying out environmental acoustic surveys and building services acoustic consultancy
• Developing and delivering acoustic assessments, including BS 4142 and relevant ISO standards
• Undertaking acoustic calculations for duct analysis, distance, screening and noise reduction
• Designing and engineering effective noise control solutions
• Advising on noise control products and their real-world implementation
• Developing client relationships, generating business and helping lead the acoustic consultancy offering

What are we looking for?

• Experience working within an acoustic consultancy
• Strong knowledge of environmental acoustics and building services acoustics
• The confidence and ambition to develop your own client base and generate business
• Experience with acoustic calculations and noise control solutions
• Knowledge of noise control products and their application
• MIOA or AMIOA membership would be advantageous
• AutoCAD or similar experience would be beneficial
