Project Manager – Bespoke Machinery & Automation Location: Accrington, Lancashire Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 Hours: 40 hours per week An exciting new Project Manager opportunity has become open at a leading machinery manufacturing business. This is a chance for a Project Manager to take real ownership of complex, one-of-a-kind engineering projects. Our client designs and builds bespoke automated machinery and special purpose equipment, and they need a commercially minded Project Manager to lead each project from bid stage through to final customer handover. No two projects will be the same. You’ll work closely with the design, procurement, assembly and manufacturing teams, solve difficult technical challenges, and be the person customers rely on from start to finish. What you’ll be doing * Taking full ownership of bespoke machinery projects, from bid stage to delivery * Managing schedules, costs, resources and technical delivery to bring projects in on time, on budget and to specification * Leading multi-disciplinary teams across design, procurement, assembly and manufacturing * Acting as the main point of contact for customers and coordinating support resource * Staying ahead of project risks, scope changes and their commercial implications * Driving key milestones, including design reviews, build phases, FAT, I&C and delivery What you’ll bring * 3+ years’ experience managing bespoke capital equipment orders through an organisation * A proven track record of delivering bespoke machinery, special purpose machinery, automation systems or capital equipment * A strong understanding of production and manufacturing processes * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills * Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the evidence to back them up * A hands-on approach and a real appetite for technically challenging work What’s in it for you * Salary of £50,000 to £55,000 * 272.5 hours’ holiday per year * Flexible working patterns * Company pension scheme * Health Cash Plan (after successful completion of probation) * Death in Service Benefit (3 x annual salary) * Free on-site parking Ready to take on your next challenge?
