Desktop Support Engineer – Trading Floor Support

Location: Paris, France

Contract: Initial 6-months

Please note: Candidates must already be based in Paris and have the right to work in France. Fluency in both English and French is essential and non-negotiable.

We are looking for an experienced Trading Floor IT Support Engineer to join a leading banking institution on an initial 6-month contract based in Paris.

You will provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to front-office traders, sales teams and senior business users in a fast-paced financial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong desktop support expertise, excellent Microsoft Excel troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience supporting Bloomberg Terminals and trading floor technology

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to front-office traders, sales teams and business users.
• Support trading floor technologies, including Bloomberg Terminals, IPC Turrets, market data applications and trading platforms.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, including add-ins, plugins and market data integrations.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and application issues across a Windows enterprise environment.
• Manage user onboarding, offboarding and equipment deployments.
• Provide support for Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Citrix, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and remote access solutions.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Security and Application Support teams to resolve incidents.
• Support trading floor moves, technology upgrades and equipment refresh initiatives.
• Manage incidents and service requests in line with SLA requirements, providing VIP and executive support where needed.

Key Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years of experience in desktop support within financial services, investment banking or a trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop support and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel troubleshooting skills, including COM add-ins, data connections and plugins.
• Practical experience supporting Bloomberg Terminals and Bloomberg Excel Add-ins.
• Experience supporting front-office users, including traders, sales teams and operations.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Citrix/VDI and basic networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP.
• Understanding of financial markets and trading floor environments.
• Fluent English and professional working proficiency in French, both written and verbal.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within an investment bank, hedge fund, asset manager or trading firm.
• Bloomberg Terminal certification or hands-on Bloomberg support experience.
• Experience with IPC Turrets and trading platforms such as Tradeweb, TT or Broadway.
