About Us

We are a growing, independent accountancy practice based in newly opened offices in central Goring. We pride ourselves on providing a personal, high-quality service to our clients and building long-term relationships based on trust and understanding.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Qualified Accountant to join our leadership team, to head the accounting team and take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients.

We manage a variety of work for our clients and are happy to explore how we can tailor the role to suit the right candidate.

The Role

This role offers plenty of client contact and the opportunity to become a trusted adviser to a portfolio of businesses and individuals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the accounting team, reviewing and supporting the work of other team members where appropriate
• Managing day-to-day client relationships
• Understanding clients’ businesses and providing practical, commercial advice
• Identifying opportunities to improve clients’ financial and tax position
• Reviewing and finalising statutory accounts
• Reviewing and finalising management accounts
• Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns
• Providing general accounting and tax advice
• Assisting with general practice and advisory work as required

We’re looking for someone who can work independently, take ownership of their client portfolio and become a valued member of the team.

About You

You will ideally be:

• ACA, ACCA or similarly qualified
• Experienced in accounts and taxation
• Technically strong with good attention to detail
• Confident communicating with clients at all levels
• Commercially aware, with an interest in understanding the wider needs of a business
• Organised and able to manage your own workload
• Comfortable working independently while also enjoying being part of a team
• Friendly, approachable and committed to providing excellent client service
