Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing drawings for steel structures, staging systems, grandstands and bespoke temporary installations
  • Interpreting structural designs, engineering calculations and technical specifications.
  • Creating and verifying Bills of Materials, component lists and material schedules.
  • Preparing drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, materials and fabrication details.
  • Considering practical manufacturing, assembly, installation and site requirements.
  • Managing drawing revisions, technical documentation and design changes.

  • Ensuring drawings meet applicable technical, construction and safety requirements.

About You

We're interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
  • Previous experience in structural steelwork, fabrication, construction, engineering or a related technical drawing environment.
  • Good knowledge of materials, structural components and construction techniques.
  • Experience producing fabrication drawings and Bills of Materials.
  • Strong drawing interpretation skills and attention to dimensional accuracy.
  • Confidence working across multiple projects and meeting technical deadlines.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to design challenges.

Additional experience that would be beneficial:

  • 3D CAD packages such as Inventor, Revit, SketchUp or Vectorworks.
  • Structural steelwork detailing or temporary structures.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations or temporary works requirements.
  • Experience working alongside installation or site construction teams.

What Makes This Role Different?

The business operates internationally and contributes to high-profile events and installations, offering exposure to specialist engineering applications and opportunities to broaden your technical expertise.

Alongside a competitive salary and benefits package, you'll benefit from a collaborative working environment and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Previous experience in the live events industry is not required.
