I'm currently recruiting for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision after half term.
This role is suited to someone who has previously worked with students displaying social, emotional and mental health needs, challenging behaviour, and barriers to learning. The setting supports pupils who require a highly structured and nurturing approach to education, so resilience, consistency, and strong relationship-building skills are essential.
The role:
Full-time position
Starting after half term
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve engagement, behaviour and outcomes
Opportunity to make a genuine impact on young people's educational journeys
Essential requirements:
Previous experience within an SEMH school, PRU, alternative provision, or similar specialist setting
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Ability to build positive and professional relationships with young people who may have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
If you have the relevant experience and are available after half term, I'd love to hear from you.
