This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Technology teacher ready to take the next step in their career, or an established leader looking for a fresh challenge within a supportive, forward-thinking school environment.The successful candidate will lead a thriving Design Technology department, teaching Design Technology and Food Preparation and Nutrition across Key Stages 3 and 4 while driving high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement. The school is seeking a passionate practitioner with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes and inspiring students to develop creativity, confidence and practical skills.The Role:As Team Leader of Design Technology, you will:

• Lead and develop the Design Technology department, promoting excellence in teaching and learning.
• Teach engaging and challenging Design Technology and Food Preparation & Nutrition lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment and achievement.
• Support, mentor and develop colleagues within the department.
• Ensure resources, workshops and specialist facilities are managed effectively and safely.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement and play an active role in school life.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for a candidate who has:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
• Significant experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the current Design Technology curriculum.
• Experience of raising attainment and supporting students of varying abilities.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• A commitment to inclusion, professional development and delivering exceptional outcomes for all students.
