Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Heavy Engineering Location: Walker Salary: £47,000 + Overtime Shift Pattern: Days & Nights (Strictly M-F, no weekends included in the shift pattern) We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a heavy engineering environment, maintaining and supporting essential production equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical maintenance background and experience working with a variety of rotary plant. The Role * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production equipment. * Diagnose faults and undertake reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. * Maintain and repair a variety of rotary plant and associated machinery. * Identify potential issues and support improvements to equipment reliability. * Work safely and efficiently within a heavy engineering environment. What We’re Looking For * Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within heavy engineering or a similar industrial environment. * Strong experience maintaining and repairing rotary plant. * Competent in fault-finding and reactive maintenance. * A good understanding of PPM schedules and preventative maintenance practices. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and equipment reliability. Salary & Benefits * £47,000 basic salary. * Overtime paid at time and a half Monday–Friday. * Double time on Saturdays and Sundays. * Triple time on bank holidays. * A range of additional benefits, including both financial and non-financial rewards.
