Reed Finance are currently assisting an established and friendly accountancy practice who are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team on a 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who can quickly integrate into a busy environment and support the team during a period of increased workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts
• Completing and submitting personal tax returns (SA100)
• Preparing corporation tax returns
• Reviewing bookkeeping work completed by junior staff and bookkeepers
• Identifying and correcting errors, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Providing support to partners and managers on a range of client assignments
• Assisting with general practice accounting duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation for sole traders and limited companies
• Experience preparing personal and corporate tax returns
• Confident reviewing and supervising bookkeeping work
• Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
• AAT, ACA, ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE) considered
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
