We are recruiting for an Electrical Bias Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation in Wrexham.

This is a hands-on engineering position supporting automated production machinery, with a strong focus on electrical fault finding, breakdown response and preventative maintenance.

The successful Engineer will have a solid electrical engineering background alongside good mechanical knowledge and be confident diagnosing and resolving faults on automated production equipment.

The Role:

• Provide hands-on engineering support across a busy production environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated production machinery
• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
• Fault find on motors, sensors, drives, control systems and associated equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Work with PLC-controlled and automated machinery
• Support machinery reliability and continuous improvement
• Carry out mechanical maintenance when required
• Work closely with production teams to resolve engineering issues
• Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records
• Work safely and follow all relevant health & safety procedures

The Person:

• Proven Maintenance Engineering experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong electrical engineering bias
• Excellent electrical fault-finding ability
• Experience working on automated production machinery
• Good understanding of PLCs, sensors, motors, drives and control systems
• Mechanical maintenance knowledge
• Experience of both planned and reactive maintenance
• Able to work independently and respond effectively to breakdowns
• Engineering qualification/apprenticeship preferred

Previous experience within FMCG, food, packaging, converting, logistics or other automated manufacturing environments would be highly relevant.

The Package:

• £47,500 basic salary
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern
• 12-hour rotating days and nights
• Permanent position
