You will be working directly in residents' homes, carrying out a variety of responsive electrical repairs while providing a professional and customer-focused service. The RoleAs a Responsive Repairs Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and completing a wide range of domestic electrical repairs and maintenance across social housing properties. Duties will include: Carrying out responsive electrical repairs within occupied social housing properties. Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults. Working on lighting, sockets, circuits and consumer units. Completing repairs to heating controls, extractor fans and electrical accessories. Carrying out minor installation and remedial works. Fault finding and aiming for first-time fixes. Ensuring all works comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations. Recording completed works using PDA/handheld systems. Liaising professionally with tenants and residents. Maintaining clean, safe and tidy working areas. Working to agreed response times and performance targets. Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota. Social housing, council or housing association experience preferred. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Good customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload. Full UK Driving Licence.
