The Role As a Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will include: Processing sales and purchase invoices, along with bank transactions. Preparing and submitting VAT returns. Carrying out regular bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies. Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing client accounts for year-end. Responding to client queries by phone, email and in person. Ensuring bookkeeping records are accurate, organised and up to date.The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have: At least one year's experience in bookkeeping, including VAT preparation. Experience using accounting software such as Xero and Sage. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Confident communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach. A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to develop their bookkeeping skills.
