With a strong focus on putting clients first, maintaining high professional standards and doing the right thing, the firm offers a supportive team environment where accuracy, honesty and a genuine passion for client service are highly valued.

Due to continued development and internal progression, they are looking to recruit a Trainee Paraplanner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with financial services experience who is keen to develop their technical knowledge and build a long-term career in paraplanning.

The role would suit an experienced Financial Services Administrator looking to take the next step in their career, or someone already gaining paraplanning experience who wants to develop their skills further.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Financial Advisers and experienced Paraplanners with the preparation of client cases.
  • Assisting with the preparation of suitability reports and financial planning recommendations.
  • Gathering and reviewing client information to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting research into pensions, investments and other financial planning products.
  • Assisting with cashflow modelling and financial planning calculations.
  • Preparing documentation for client meetings and annual reviews.
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure cases progress efficiently and deadlines are met.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring all work meets regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Learning to use financial planning systems and developing technical knowledge through hands-on experience.
  • Working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, with support from the firm.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ideally, 2–3 years’ experience within financial services, such as financial administration, adviser support or paraplanning.
  • Some experience preparing suitability reports or financial planning documentation.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career in paraplanning.
  • A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning in progress, or a willingness to work towards the qualification.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
  • A commitment to continued professional development.
  • The ability to commute to the Knowle office, ideally by car, due to limited public transport links.

How to Apply:

If you have experience in financial services and are looking for an opportunity to develop your paraplanning skills, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

Our client is keen to invest in the right person, offering study support, opportunities to develop technical expertise and potential long-term career progression.
