Geotechnical Engineer - Design 📍 Nottingham, UK Experience: 3-5 years Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 We are currently looking for a Geotechnical Engineer with 3-5 years of design experience for an opportunity based in Nottingham. The role will involve working on a range of geotechnical and civil engineering projects, undertaking design assessments and developing practical, cost-effective engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: Undertake geotechnical design and calculations for foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks. Review and interpret ground investigation reports, factual data and geotechnical parameters. Prepare geotechnical design reports, calculations, specifications and technical documentation. Carry out slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement and foundation assessments. Apply relevant design standards, codes and project specifications. Liaise with multidisciplinary design teams, clients and contractors to deliver effective engineering solutions. Provide technical support during design development and, where required, construction.Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline. 3-5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, ideally within a design consultancy. Experience in geotechnical design, engineering calculations and technical report writing. Good understanding of ground investigation data and soil mechanics. Familiarity with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes and geotechnical design software.
