Our client, Leicester City Council, is seeking a part-time IRO.

• Independent Reviewing Officer
• 22.5 hours per week (3 days – flexibility on which days)
• £45 per hour

The role will involve the following:

• It is purely LAC / Pathway reviews.
• Hybrid working, generally one day a week in the office.
• Home working is allowed for admin time / virtual reviews; we encourage Wednesday morning as office working to be with the team.
• 22.5hrs / week.
• The post is for 3 days, flexible as to which days this is.
• Meetings are a mix of face to face and virtual, with a split of about 60% virtual meeting, and 40% face to face.
• We aim to do our initial meetings face to face, then consider the preferences of the child / young person.
• Pay rate £45 umbrella

Requirements of the role:

• Qualified Social Worker
• Fully Social Work England registered
• 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
• Must have demonstrable knowledge and experience working as an Independent Reviewing officer
