Quest Search & Selection are partnering with a well-established, multi-site retail business to recruit a Junior Buyer - Footwear, key role in developing and delivering own-label footwear collections. You will be responsible for identifying emerging trends, sourcing new products and working closely with suppliers to develop exclusive ranges that reflect the brand's identity and meet customer expectations. Taking ownership of key stages of the buying process, you will focus on product development, supplier relationships, pricing and margin management.

Key Responsibilities of Junior Buyer - Footwear:

• Develop and deliver commercially focused own-label footwear ranges that reflect the brand identity, meet customer expectations and drive sales and profitability.
• Manage the end-to-end buying process, including product sourcing, development, range selection and supplier negotiations.
• Research footwear trends, competitor activity and emerging market opportunities to develop relevant and commercially viable product ideas.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to develop exclusive products, ensuring the right balance of quality, design, cost and price.
• Support and develop the BAA, encouraging high performance, effective communication and strong operational standards

To be successful in this Junior Buyer - Footwear:

• Ideally having 2 + years of previous experience as an Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer is essential, ideally within the footwear, shoes or accessories where you have had some experience within own-label/NPD.
• Previous exposure to own-label buying, product development or working directly with suppliers and manufacturers would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and market knowledge, with a proven ability to develop profitable product ranges that reflect and maintain brand identity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to identify market opportunities, recognise trends and generate innovative product ideas.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and build effective supplier relationships.
