SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School in Sale

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Sale. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them access learning, develop independence and build confidence. You may be supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs, and learning difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have a positive, flexible approach, strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with students. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable, although a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for education are equally important.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional needs.
• Supporting learning and helping students engage with classroom activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
