Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

An established and growing accountancy practice in Chelmsford is seeking an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join its friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a range of SME clients
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
• Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments
• Supporting senior team members with client portfolio management
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns
• Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines

About You

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• AAT qualified or currently studying AAT, ACA, or ACCA
• Experience preparing accounts for a variety of clients
• Working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Eager to learn and progress within a supportive environment
