Reed Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with an established client in the Crawley area who are seeking a Finance Operations Manager to lead their transactional finance team during an exciting period of continued growth.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll manage the day-to-day finance operations across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, banking, payroll support and financial controls. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can develop people, drive process improvements and ensure efficient, well-controlled finance operations across a multi-site business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of five transactional finance professionals.
• Oversee accounts receivable, billing, credit control and aged debt management.
• Manage accounts payable processes, supplier payments and reconciliations.
• Maintain strong cash management and daily bank reconciliation controls.
• Support payroll, commissions and expenses processes.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and controls.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the wider business.

About You

• Proven experience managing a transactional finance team within an SME environment.
• Strong background across AP, AR, bank reconciliations and payroll support.
• Experience improving finance processes, controls and team performance.
• Hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive, organised and solutions-focused.

Desirable

• Experience within a contract billing or recurring revenue environment.
• Multi-site team management experience.
• Knowledge of Business Central or Xero
