We’re looking for a Sheet Metal Foreman to join a specialist engineering business in Hyde. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong sheet metal fabrication experience and the confidence to supervise others, as around 90% of your time will still be spent working on the tools, with the remaining time focused on organising workflow, allocating jobs and supporting the wider team. What’s on offer? * £25 per hour * Mon – Fri | 7:30am – 4:45pm * Early finish on Thursdays and Fridays * Standard holiday entitlement plus bank holidays * Overtime available at an enhanced rate * Christmas party and team events * Further training and development within sheet metal fabrication What will you be doing as a Sheet Metal Foreman? * Carrying out hands-on sheet metal fabrication for the majority of the working week * Producing high-quality work where finish and appearance are particularly important * Allocating jobs and organising daily workflow across the shop floor * Supervising and supporting other members of the fabrication team * Taking part in production meetings * Helping ensure work is completed efficiently and to the required standard * Supporting the training and development of an apprentice * Balancing production pace with the care and attention needed for more detailed work What will you need? * Strong previous sheet metal fabrication experience * Previous experience supervising or leading others * Ability to organise workloads and prioritise jobs * Confidence working at pace while maintaining a high standard of finish * A hands-on approach and willingness to remain heavily involved in fabrication work Interested?
