An established Oxford construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its cost management team. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will work across Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Retail projects throughout Oxford and the surrounding region. The Senior Quantity Surveyor's Role The Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead projects from early feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take ownership of project budgets, commercial reporting and procurement advice while helping clients make informed decisions throughout delivery. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also support junior team members and contribute to maintaining strong client relationships across the consultancy's core sectors. This role would suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor who wants more autonomy, broader project exposure and a clear route towards Associate level within a collaborative consultancy environment. The Senior Quantity Surveyor Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline Strong UK PQS / construction consultancy experience MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership Proven pre- and post-contract cost management experience Experience across Commercial, Education, Healthcare or Retail projects Confident preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and UK procurement routes Experience managing valuations, variations and final accounts Strong client-facing, reporting and communication skills Comfortable leading commissions with limited supervision Experience mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors Commercially aware, organised and confident managing multiple projectsIn Return £70,000 - £80,000 per annum Oxford-based position Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Retail project exposure Direct client and project responsibility Opportunity to manage commissions independently Professional development and chartership support Opportunity to mentor junior team members Clear progression towards Associate level Collaborative and commercially focused consultancy environmentIf you are a Senior Quantity Surveyor considering your career opportunities, please contact Dan McEvoy at Brandon James.
