An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and growing business based in the Armagh area.

Working closely with the Accounts Manager, you'll gain broad exposure across the finance function and play an important role in the day-to-day running of the accounts department. This would suit someone with previous accounts experience who is keen to develop their skills and grow alongside the business.

Your new role

As Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Posting receipts and payments to the accounting system
• Maintaining supplier and customer accounts
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Maintaining Irish RCT records
• Ensuring accounting records are accurate and transactions are correctly coded
• Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and statutory reporting
• Providing general finance administration
• Supporting the Accounts Manager with ad-hoc duties

Experience using Sage 50, completing bank reconciliations, managing supplier/customer accounts or knowledge of CIS/RCT would be advantageous but is not essential.
