Design Manager | Refurbishment & New Build | City of London | Main Contractor | Up to £90,000   I’m working with an established contractor looking to appoint a Design Manager due to growth, joining a team of two existing Design Managers.   The business delivers a varied workload across refurbishment, fit-out and new-build projects. This role would suit someone who enjoys technical involvement across different sectors, with an architectural background particularly welcomed.   You’ll oversee design across a couple of projects, with a substantial amount of PCSA work providing the opportunity to influence design development, buildability and procurement before construction starts.   The Role Managing design development through pre-construction and delivery Coordinating consultants and specialist subcontractor design Reviewing technical information and resolving design interfaces Managing design programmes and information release requirements Supporting PCSA deliverables, technical reviews and tender development Working with commercial and operational teams on buildability, procurement and value engineering Chairing design meetings and ensuring actions are closed out Maintaining involvement across a couple of projects at different stages    What they’re looking for Design Manager with experience coordinating projects through pre-construction and delivery Architectural or architectural technology background particularly welcomed Relevant experience across refurbishment, fit-out or new build Strong technical understanding and a practical approach to resolving design issues Confidence managing consultants and challenging information constructively Ability to manage priorities across more than one project PCSA experience and an understanding of procurement requirements  The Business Established in 1995, originally as a carpentry contractor Approximately £40m turnover Background delivering fit-out who have grown into a main contractor Growing construction division with a varied project portfolio Existing team of two Design Managers, with this appointment supporting further growth  Interested?
