Kitchen Porters

Location: Holmbury St Mary (Must Drive)

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Hours: Various part-time positions available

Our client recruiting Kitchen Porters to join the catering team at a well-established school in Holmbury St Mary. This is an ideal opportunity for a reliable, hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a busy team.

Available Hours

• Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm – 40 weeks per year, term time plus Summer School
• Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–7:00pm – 35 weeks per year, term time only
• Saturday–Sunday, 10:00am–7:00pm – 40 weeks per year, term time plus Summer School

5.6 weeks' paid holiday included.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, dining and food preparation areas.
• Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and catering equipment.
• Supporting the catering team during busy service periods.
• Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and storage.
• Moving food, equipment and supplies safely around the school.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.
• Following school policies and completing required training.

• Committed to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Willing to learn and undertake relevant training.

Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, Cleaner or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
