The Role As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC turning centres to manufacture precision-engineered components to customer specifications. Key Responsibilities * Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls * Editing, proving out and optimising programmes at the machine * Producing first-off and in-process inspections * Working from detailed engineering drawings * Manufacturing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards * Using a range of inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges * Identifying opportunities to improve cycle times and machining processes * Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area * Ensuring production targets and quality requirements are achieved Candidate Requirements * Previous experience as a CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Turning) * Strong knowledge of Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls * Ability to programme online at the machine * Experience working within a precision engineering environment * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Competent with measuring and inspection equipment * Excellent attention to detail and quality standards * Apprentice-trained engineers are encouraged to apply Benefits * Excellent salary, dependent on experience * Competitive night shift allowance * Permanent position * Modern workshop and machinery If you are an experienced Mazak CNC Turner looking for a well-paid night shift opportunity with a respected engineering company in the Wimborne area, apply today with your CV for immediate consideration.
