Housing Options Officer

£20.16 PAYE per hour | £39 Umbrella per hour

We are seeking an experienced Housing Options Officer to join a busy local authority Housing Team on an ongoing temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of homelessness and housing options cases.
• Conducting housing needs and homelessness assessments.
• Delivering homelessness prevention and housing advice.
• Completing Housing Act assessments and statutory decision-making.
• Assessing eligibility for housing assistance and temporary accommodation.
• Liaising with partner agencies and support services.
• Maintaining accurate records and case notes.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience within a Local Authority Housing Options or Homelessness Service.
• Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and housing assessments.
• Experience managing complex caseloads independently.
• Excellent communication and case management skills.

Essential Requirement

Successful candidates will have BOTH Housing Options and HRA experience. Applications from candidates with experience in only one area will not be shortlisted.
