KCR Solutions are delighted to be supporting a well-established manufacturing business based in Sunderland in the recruitment of a Part-Time Purchase Ledger Clerk.

Working within a small, supportive accounts department, you will take responsibility for the purchase ledger function alongside another part-time team member, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time.

This role offers excellent flexibility, with the opportunity to agree start and finish times around the successful candidate's needs. Following completion of the initial training period, there is also the option to work from home one day per week.

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices
• Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
• Investigating and resolving supplier queries
• Maintaining supplier accounts and records
• Processing staff expenses and company credit card transactions
• Assisting with payment runs
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Supporting the wider finance function as required
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies

• Previous purchase ledger/accounts payable experience is essential
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working in a busy environment and managing priorities
• Competent Excel and general IT skills
• A proactive approach with a willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives
